Vision

Throughout her history, God has led Trinity International Baptist Church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many diverse ways and locations. It is very appropriate and fitting that the first pastor of Trinity had come to Oklahoma from Canada with the intention of sharing the Gospel with the First Americans who lived here. That initial sense of direction from God has remained intact through the present.

Trinity is located in a wonderful place for a church. At her front door is Route 66 which connects her with both sides of the United States. Through the neighborhood which surrounds her, she is connected to people who have come to the United States from all over the world. Through God's grace Trinity has been allowed to reach people in her front yard and on the other side of the world in places such as Laos and China and Korea.

As a result of following God's call Trinity has become a multi-language church. This is a vital part of Trinity's identity in God's Kingdom; and it will continue to be so in the future. An essential component of her mission is to continue to develop healthy, self sustaining, self governing, language groups of baptized believers who will comprise the body of Trinity International Baptist Church. The hope and preferred goal for these language groups is that they will stay permanently as a part of the umbrella of Trinity International Baptist Church rather than chartering as separate, freestanding churches.

Trinity has the opportunity to reveal to the world the true "unity in diversity" which knowing Christ can provide. The path which leads to this kind of unity is a difficult one. It requires all groups of believers to collaborate with each other; to share power and property; and to submit to each other as God directs. The results of following this path are not, in any human sense, predictable. However, the spiritual goal is quite foreseeable. It is the goal of Pentecost. God's Word will be proclaimed. He will be glorified. All people will hear the message in the language of their heart. They will respond to Him in faith.
